ENVY RWY IS NO MORE.
Tracie Gunningham who opened the salon in 2012, had been experiencing some health issues and had started to consider the idea of scaling back the business, although was finding it difficult to make a firm decision.
An opportunity arose when Steve Dyer (previous RWY manager) returned from Australia to the Envy team, expressing his wish that he and his wife Jo would like to own their own salon.
After a chat with Steve and Jo about the business and with the agreement of Urban Splash, the business changed hands on March 2nd 2018.
Steve and Jo Dyer are proud to announce ‘YOKE’ as their new salon and brand. All the hairdressing team are staying with the YOKE salon at Royal William Yard, so clients need not to worry about not finding their regular stylist. The phone number at RWY remains same 251351.
Tracie said ‘ I am delighted that Steve and Jo have taken on the salon, they have lots of energy, skill and knowledge to put to it and I am looking forward to seeing them grow the business and making the salon a huge success. I wish them all the very best'.
Tracie is still VERY committed to ensuring that Envy is a success and will continue to run the brand from the Broadway branch.
Despite her recent comments in the local press, about The Broadway's empty shops, high rent and no foot flow situation,
Tracie said 'there is now hope and promise of new businesses taking up some of the empty units, which will be brilliant and great for us all. Hopefully filled shop units will definitely give the public a reason to visit again and The Broadway will regain is bustling glory that I once knew'.
The Broadway centre manager has a great vision and drive and is determined to get the units full.
Tracie feels excited about being able to give the salon and her team at The Broadway her FULL attention and has already started to implement some changes in the salon, that will benefit regular clients as well as hopefully attracting some new ones, this includes a new pamper room and the addition of beauty services.
Tracie will be working behind the chair Wednesday 9am-8pm, Thursday 2-8pm and will offer additional days and times on request subject to availability.
