THE TEAM HAVE BEEN HAVING SOME FUN IN 'LOCKDOWN'

The team took the opportunity to shake off their ‘lockdown’ looks and get ‘dressed up’ for their ‘lockdown’ video.

Sarah Chapman kindly merged all of our videos together to create ‘a bit of fun’ and hopefully put a smile of our followers faces. We have had a great response, our followers have loved it. It would be a shame not to keep it in our Envy News section on our website.

So here it is.

Last weekend some of the team members got together for an ‘online brunch’ they spent two hours eating drinking and playing games. A great time was had by all.

We are all looking forward to the day when we can return to the salon and be one BIG HAPPY ENVY FAMILY AGAIN.

Stay Safe Everyone.

5 ENVY TEAM MEMBERS SET TO VISIT KMS UK HEADQUARTERS IN LONDON THIS WEDNESDAY

Sarah Chapman will attend a visual merchandising seminar, which will provide the relevant skills to transform the salons retail and window displays into a Visual “WOW”. The other four: Tracie Gunningham, Lynda Penny, Lauren Crossly and Ellie Temple will be having a one to one session with Simon a Harris a mentor for salons in the hair industry.

Harris explained: “While I continue to offer in-salon coaching as I have always done, I recently embraced new technology and can offer an on-line learning facility which allows salons anywhere in the world to access my webinars and videos. The response has been terrific, and I now have members signed up from across the globe who all want to benefit from learning how to tackle the most common issues faced by those in our industry.”

The team are eager to get to the Capital, and then to get back and implement their new skills & knowledge onto the salon floor.

ENVY CREATES HAIR AND MAKE-UP FOR LOCAL CHARITY FASHION SHOW.

ENVY CREATES HAIR AND MAKE-UP FOR LOCAL CHARITY FASHION SHOW.

Two weeks ago Team Envy took part in creating a high-end and successful fashion show in correspondence with The Lady Taverners autumn lunch.

The annual lunch this year took place at Le Bistro Pierre located in Plymouth’s prestigious Royal William Yard.  The purpose of the event is to raise money for a charity that supports disabled and disadvantaged children.

Team Envy showed off their creative talents by creating catwalk worthy hair and make-up for 8 individual models.  The team consisted of Pao Panawam Ham, Tracie Gunningham, Sarah Chapman, Kerra Day, Georgina Nail and Lynda Penny.

ID Fashion, a local clothing brand, stepped in and arranged the fashion show last minute for the Lady Taverners lunch due to guest speaker Katie Hopkins cancelling last minute.

ID fashion, based in the Royal William Yard and Totnes, showed off their latest one-off clothing collections. Owner Deni donated a simple ‘LBD’ to auction at the event, which alone raised £120 for the children’s charity.

A successful fundraising afternoon was made extra special as Judy Spiers announced her new role of president for the South West Lady Taverners, with the help of Gus Honeybun.

Team Envy did a fabulous job, and enjoyed helping a charitable event in hope to give children a sporting chance.  Please check out our hair and make-up look book below.

Sarah Chapman is through to the Venus Awards Devon Semi Finals

Sarah Chapman said 'I Feel very honoured to be a semi finalist in the 'Employee of the year category'.

It means a lot to me that my hard work and commitment to Envy is recognised and appreciated. I have had to overcome some shyness issues and become more assertive in my new management role. I am now confident in my management approach and have also taken on the challenge of training and developing the apprentices. I am really enjoying this aspect of my new job description.

Tracie Gunningham said 'she nominated Sarah for the Employee of the Year Award because she 'naturally' stepped up and showed true leadership qualities, when being faced with her immediate manager having to have an unexpected operation, resulting in her being off for 3 months and also Tracie herself suffered ill health at the beginning of the year'.  Tracie said 'I really do not know what I would've done if Sarah hadn't stepped in and up to management of the Broadway salon and for that I am eternally grateful.' Going to the public vote would've been a big challenge for Sarah 9 months ago, as she admits she hates speaking publicly.

Sarah has produced a great video, where she speaks confidently and clearly.

'I'm so proud of how far Sarah has come and in such a short space of time' said Tracie.

Please help Sarah win her category of EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR, she really does deserve the recognition.
