THE TEAM HAVE BEEN HAVING SOME FUN IN 'LOCKDOWN'

The team took the opportunity to shake off their ‘lockdown’ looks and get ‘dressed up’ for their ‘lockdown’ video.

Sarah Chapman kindly merged all of our videos together to create ‘a bit of fun’ and hopefully put a smile of our followers faces. We have had a great response, our followers have loved it. It would be a shame not to keep it in our Envy News section on our website.

So here it is.

Last weekend some of the team members got together for an ‘online brunch’ they spent two hours eating drinking and playing games. A great time was had by all.

We are all looking forward to the day when we can return to the salon and be one BIG HAPPY ENVY FAMILY AGAIN.

Stay Safe Everyone.

TRACIE GUNNINGHAM'S TOPS TIPS FOR SURVIVING WITHOUT YOUR HAIRDRESSER.

TODAY’S TOPIC- IT’S ALL ABOUT THE TONE

IMG-6122.jpg

Often as we approach our next appointment at the salon, we notice that our colour has changed a little.

Blondes that were ‘cool’ in tone can become ‘warm’, reds can appear more copper.

YOU CAN COMBAT THIS!

By using the correct colour care range at home for your hair you can prolong and maintain the tone, keeping your colour looking ‘fresh’ all the time.

At Envy for blondes we recommend Keune Care Silver Savour shampoo and conditioner.

Here you can see an experiment, demonstrating the toning power of the @Keune Silver Saviour Shampoo and the Care Prescriptive Mask with the addition of Colour Chameleon pigment to help tone, whilst treating.

BEFORE AND AFTER- Notice how the hair has changed from warm blonde to cool blonde.

Colour Chameleon

This ‘specially formulated colour mask’ is BRILLIANT if you want to inject a little more intensive tone into your colour, whilst giving your hair a treatment or in the relevance of this blog post, ‘the absence of your salon visit, refresh safely at home’.

Each colour mask is formulated by your stylist, using your unique client record card to colour match, ensuring vibrancy, strength and vitality even when you are away from the salon. This is not just for blonde hair, this colour mask can be used to rejuvenate reds, coppers, violets, blue, pink and the full range of pastels.

It COSTS £37 and you can order here or ask me additional questions via this form.

TRACIE GUNNINGHAM'S TOPS TIPS FOR SURVIVING WITHOUT YOUR HAIRDRESSER.

I know that there are many of you that would be due an appointment soon and you may be tempted to reach for the scissors and the home hair colour.

PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS- If it goes wrong it could be weeks before you are able to have your hair returned to it's former glory.

However, I have some recommendations to help you survive until your next appointment, please keep checking back to our blog see what they are.

Unless you are 'key worker' I'm guessing you will have some free time on your hands.

Keratin smooth

Use this time to pamper your hair, or if your hair is short and needs cutting, try styling in a different way or wearing is slightly flatter. At Envy I think we give great home care advice about how to look after the cut and colour between visits, but this current situation is going to require additional tip sand tricks, to ensure that you and your hair are still feeling ‘tip top’ and prevent you from doing something that you may regret.

Please take a read of this blog post which I have included links to your ‘self survival haircare range’, that can be purchased online and delivered straight to your door.

TODAYS TIP AND TRICKS - THE AMAZING POWER OF A CONDITIONING TREATMENT

Often as we approach the our next appointment, our hair care routine slips because we know that we will be visiting the salon and the hairdresser will work their ‘magic’ and your hair will feel fabulous again. Whilst our hairdressing skills are second to none, a lot about why your hair feels so great after a trip to the salon is to do with the products we use during the service.

Sometimes between visits our hair becomes dull and lifeless and the colour seems to fade, and whilst nothing beats a colour refresh, a sharp cut and conditioning treatment to make your hair LOOK AND FEEL AMAZING AGAIN, this is not currently an option due to COVID 19.

NOW IS THE PERFECT TIME TO FIND OUT AND REALISE THE TRUE BENEFIT OF THE KEUNE CONDITIONING HAIR MASK.

A Keune Careline hair mask will inject shine, strength, vitality and bounce back into your hair thus making your hair more manageable.

Who doesn't want extra shine, body and control of their hair, in the absence of their hairdresser?

YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING TO GUARANTEE RESULTS

  • CARELINE SHAMPOO

  • CARELINE HAIR MASK

  • CARELINE LEAVE IN TREATMENT

  • TOWEL

  • CLINGFILM

  • HAIRDRYER

  • COMB

  1. Using the correct Keune shampoo for your hair type, shampoo your hair (the size of a ten pence piece of product is plenty, no more)! Note - as your hair colour grows away from the root, depending on how oily your hair is, you may want to change your shampoo to something more clarifying, as this will cleanse the root more thoroughly and help with body.

    BUY KEUNE VOLUME SHAMPOO HERE

  2. Towel dry- squeeze all excess water out of hair. (this prevents the mask from being diluted) using a fifty pence piece size of mask, apply to mid-length and ends of hair (not the roots, as your root area will always be the strongest and healthiest hair)

    BUY KEUNE HAIR MASK HERE

  3. Once mask has been applied, comb through. (To ensure even distribution) If hair is long twist hair and secure on top of head, with a clip.

  4. Carefully wrap hair in clingfilm (avoiding face)

  5. Using the hairdryer, gently warm the mask all over. (this allows the cuticle to raise and allows the mask to enter the internal structure of the hair, enabling strength)

Once the hair is warm, wrap in a towel and leave for a minimum of 10 minutes.

  6. Undercover hair and rinse thoroughly with tepid water. Using a cooler temperature will ensure that the cuticle stays closed and the strengthening benefits of the mask are locked inside the hair shaft. Blot your hair carefully with a towel.

  7. IF YOUR HAIR IS CURLY, Take a pea size amount of the mask and leave in the hair, (this will help with additional moisture and curl control).

BUY ALL THINGS CURL CONTROL HERE

  8. Finish your treatment using Keune Keratin 2 Phase Spray, comb through and style as required.

BUY KEUNE KERATIN SMOOTHING 2 PHASE SPRAY HERE

ENVY ADD MICROBLADING TO SERVICE LIST

Envy are now offering Microblading .

Micro-blading gently enhances clients’ natural features, giving them more confidence in their overall appearance.

The phenomenal eyebrow treatment is ideal for people who: aren't happy with their brow shape, have over plucked or loss of hair / patchy areas that won’t grow back (potentially due to nuclear medical treatments such as chemotherapy).

However, it doesn’t suit certain skin types:

  • Problem skin broken Capillaries
  • Acne
  • Moles within the brow
  • Keratosis
  • Seborrhoea Dermatitis
  • Previous brow tattoo of pigment is still saturated
  • Very dry or peeling skin.

What happens in the Consultation?

A COMPULSORY patch test must be applied 24 hours before your microblading treatment.

An outline will be drawn by pencil, this way you get a feel for the shape and form.

We then conduct an in-depth photo analysis of your facial symmetry and features. This allows us to provide you with our expert advice on how to proceed forward with your selected style.

On the Treatment Day:

Your eyebrow area will be sterilised with hygienic pads and draw the brow form on to your skin. Again we take another picture so you can get a good picture of what's happening. The camera also shows up any defects in the design.

A Sterile disposable Micro-blading tool and blade (also disposable) are used during your procedure.

We only use EU regulated permanent makeup pigments for both quality and your safety. These are specially manufactured for Micro pigmentation.

How long does it last?

Microbladed eyebrows will last from 12 - 18 months depending on your skin type.

Does Microblading hurt?

Not at all. On a survey recently conduct in the UK, customers voted an average of 3 on a 1-10 pain scale.

Aftercare: Touch Ups

You will need to return for your touch up treatment no later than 6-12 weeks after treatment.

Everyone’s skin heals differently and most clients develop patchy areas or the appearance of fading after the first treatment.  It is important to understand that this is a two part process and the second, Touch Up Treatment will complete the procedure and, after healing, you will see the finished result.

Price:

£199 for initial treatment. 6 to 8 weeks later £50 for top up - £50 non refundable booking fee to secure appointment date (£50 taken off total price on appointment)
